Mark Faben is a 33 Year Old Web Accessibility tester with over fifteen years experience of assistive technology, Accessible HTML/CSS and producing detailed Accessibility reports. Blind since the age of 17 and now living in Cambridge UK, he is a strong advocate of producing websites that meet the needs of all users. He is passionate about accessibility, and the equality of opportunity it can provide to all website users, not just those with disabilities.
As a blind student at Anglia Ruskin University, he attained a first class honours degree in Cell and molecular Biology, biological Sciences and Biomedical Sciences. Following this with a Masters degree from Manchester University in Immunology and Immuno-Genetics. A PGCE qualification at Cambridge University in 2001, was, for various reasons unable to be completed.
Until recently working for Tribal Education on the EU4All project (including Accessibility testing on this and other Tribal Education projects), Mark is now available for freelance work.
Most recently involved with testing the accessibility of educational related websites on behalf of Spotless Interactive.
